Upon release it differed from most electric bikes in that it took the best high tech materials available and coupled them with an innovative propulsion system with a crank sensor and crank set motor.
Since it's release it has become easy to buy and refit these bikes with high tech Lithium batteries and remove the 200 watt power restriction (subject to local restrictions). 30kph cruising speeds are normal.
I am working to towards having an off-grid solar charger for my bike so that (weather permitting) my daily commute will be practical as well as enjoyable.
